Wilshaw Terrace

The buildings of Merchant Allen Interiors and Village Tea Room was built by Joseph Hirst in 1870.   The row of cottages are similar to Alms Houses designed and built by his architects in his home village of Wilshaw in Yorkshire.   It was originally the village stores and also served as the post office until it moved to its present premises in 1904.
